Green Tech U
The Center's Green Tech U

GTU seminars are taught by industry professionals on a range of sustainable topics and are open to the public. Attendees can earn certificates in seven different areas.
Why else attend GTU?
Learn from some of the best. The Green Tech U program includes many notable and respected speakers presenting on the most current and relevant green topics! Our presenters are professionals with private, non-profit and academic experience. For a list of the current speakers, have a look through the Speaker Bio page.
Earn Continuing Education credit. The Chicago Center for Green Technology is a registered American Institute of Architects CES provider. Architects needing to complete their Learning Units can see which seminars in our Green Tech U program will apply in their individual descriptions. Many classes will even earn LU/HSW credits. GTU seminars also count as Continuing Education Units for LEED AP's.
We provide a place to start. In this changing economy, many are looking to switch careers or get a fresh start in a green job. GTU classes cover a wide range of topics and interests. Program participants have used GTU seminars to find a footing in the topics that they're passionate about.
Networking. Our classes bring together people from all different backgrounds. Come to a seminar a little early, or stay a little late and meet and network with like-minded people.
Get practical advice from industry leaders. Working on a specific project, or have a dilemma? Many GTU seminars offer practical and hands-on advice and knowledge from experienced professionals enabling you to go home and confidently start a new project!
Green Tech U seminars are organized into one of two categories: Professional or General.
A Professional level seminar indicates a higher baseline of subject matter knowledge. A General level seminar assumes an overall baseline of subject matter lower than professional.
Both types of seminar are open to the public!
