SUMMARY:10 Things You Did Not Know About Microturbines - CANCELED
LOCATION:445 N. Sacramento Blvd.
DESCRIPTION:http://www.chicagogreentech.org/ViewEvent.ashx?eventId=494024\n\nTHIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELED. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES. \n\n \n\n SPEAKER: Daniel Natura\, NewLoop Energy\n\n \n Microturbines are based on proven turbine design\, used for onsite power generation applications and larger hybrid electric vehicle applications. They are a type of combustion turbine that produces both heat and electricity on a relatively small scale. 30kW\, 60kW and 200kW microturbines are scalable to 10MW and offer several potential advantages compared to other technologies for small-scale power generation\, including: one moving part\, compact size\, lightweight\, greater efficiency\, ultra low emissions\, lower energy costs\, and opportunities to utilize waste fuels. Waste heat recovery can also be used with these systems to achieve efficiencies greater than 80%. Discover the benefits of this emerging and portable technology.\n\n GTU Certificate Tracks: Building & Construction Management\n Engineering \n
